Gavin graduated with a B. Bus. double majoring in Accounting/Data Processing from Northern Rivers CAE (now Southern Cross University) in 1987. He then took his qualifications to Sydney, his birth place, working in the finance sector for several years before returning to Lismore to own and operate a successful retail toy store for 11 years. Accredited Bookkeeping Systems was fortunate to gain Gavin's services in 2006 which ultimately resulted in him becoming a partner in 2013.

  

In December 2007 Gavin and family decided to pursue a lifestyle change, choosing the outskirts of the lovely historic village of Richmond in Tasmania as their new home where he enjoys operating his hobby farm and producing his own organically grown fruit & veg in his spare time.

Having experienced the demands of operating a small business himself, Gavin has an excellent understanding of the needs of his clients. Gavin is a BAS Agent registered with the Tax Practitioners Board.  He is also an MYOB specialist with over 20 years experience. Gavin takes care of our Tasmanian clients while still servicing NSW clients from a distance.

Lorinda Bates

BAS Agent/Accountant/Bookkeeper

Lorinda has been a valued member of the ABS team servicing Northern NSW clients since 2005.  Originally a Sydney-sider, Lorinda spent time in the Macleay Valley on the Mid North Coast of NSW before settling on the Alstonville Plateau to raise a family.  Lorinda's life is a busy one, juggling the demands of work and family including a role in the operation of the family owned wholesale nursery business.  She is also a devoted mum to two very busy teenagers.

Lorinda holds an Accounting degree, is a Registered BAS Agent, and specialises in MYOB and Xero.  Her experience includes roles as Assistant Accountant for Registered Tax Agents and accounting in the corporate sector in conjunction with servicing her bookkeeping clients..
